This week’s selection of news celebrates the world of apprentices 

It’s National Apprenticeship Week here in the UK – an annual event when we mark this important method of developing young, and old, to fulfil the roles needed by business and industries of every type. 

Apprenticeships have gained traction since the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy, a tax imposed by government on employers who have an annual pay bill of more than £3 million. They have also become more popular with more academic young people who are looking for ways into careers that don’t involve incurring a student debt.
