Daisy Group partners with The Prince’s Trust to launch talent development scheme

A leading provider in the IT services and telecoms industry Daisy Group has launched a brand-new talent development programme aimed to further enhance the careers of its graduates.

The 12-month process is similar to programmes offered by some of the UK’s largest and most high-profile businesses, providing emerging talent from within the business with the direction, encouragement and support to maximise their potential.

Graduate & Apprenticeship Manager, Marcia Turner, said: “The programme that we have set out is designed so that, at the end of the 12 months, our candidates feel confident about choosing their own career path and have a real understanding of what they need to do in order to achieve those goals.”

The first six months will see 20 participants take part in Million Makers – a Dragon’s Den-style fundraising challenge in partnership with the Prince’s Trust charity. As part of the programme, all the graduates are allocated a senior business mentor from Daisy’s leadership team, as well as access to training focusing on key business skills.

The call for candidates was spread across the whole of the Daisy estate attracting 120 employees with university degrees. The final 20 graduates that have been chosen to take part represent a whole variety of different skillsets and knowledge.

Daisy Chief People Officer David Jones said: “The scheme demonstrates a new and exciting level of commitment to career development of which we are very proud. I wish our chosen 20 all the very best with their Million Makers projects and look forward to them winning!”
