Learning Pool’s Stream LXP Has been implemented by the Autism Education Trust (AET) to create its first virtual learning environment for a learner audience of 5,000 teaching professionals

The AET is a not-for-profit program led by national autism charities, the National Autistic Society and Ambitious about Autism. Established and supported by the Department for Education, the AET promotes and supports partnerships throughout the education system to improve educational access, experience and outcomes for children and young people with autism.

Using Stream LXP, the AET will launch a single course utilizing e-learning, webinars, blogs, podcasts and videos to move its training from a traditional classroom-based model to a virtual learning environment.

With more than 100 training hubs of local authorities, schools and multi-academy trusts regionally, the trust was drawn to Stream LXP because of its social learning capabilities, enabling it to support its communities of practices.

Aiming to increase their impact and reach, the AET will utilize Stream’s wide range of functionalities, enabling learners to purchase the course themselves through the AET website. The AET will also use Learning Pool’s Adapt Builder to author its own content, creating courses and resources that follow the trust’s brand guidelines and extensive audience needs.

Sarah Broadhurst, Director of the Autism Education Trust, said: “We are delighted to be able to bring our award-winning professional development program to a wider audience. Online learning has great potential and we are very eager to reach more professionals and enable them to support autistic children and young people all over the world. Our new module is currently only available abroad, British professionals can access our UK training program via our website: www.autism education”
