In the past five years, there has been an increasing trend for UK and global companies to invest in customised leadership-development programmes. The range of providers of leadership development includes training companies, commercial consultancies, universities and business schools.
Competition between the great and good, and the current plethora of small enterprises and sole traders, is healthy and presents the purchasers of leadership
development with an excellent choice. However, I believe the UK market in leadership development to be saturated and those purchasers are signalling their confusion through a trend for complex and lengthy procurement processes.
