The theme of this issue is socially responsible training. So what do we mean by that term?
Social responsibility is the principle that state, government, corporations, organisations and individuals have a responsibility to society. This responsibility can be ‘negative’, that is refraining from an action, or ‘positive’, meaning that there is a responsibility to take action. Social responsibility is voluntary – your are going above and beyond the law and your legal responsibility - and it centres on the idea that it is better to be proactive about a problem than reactive. It is fast becoming the mantra of the 21st century.
