Is a career an outdated concept? Time was, when we joined an organisation, it was assumed that, if not for life, we’d be there for a good length of time. Enough time, anyway, to learn the ropes, get some training (hopefully) and experience a few different roles. Then, perhaps, we might find ourselves joining another company – usually in the same sector, and often a competitor.
