An interesting learning opportunity has recently been thrust upon me: jury service. After ten days in a crown court, here are some of my reflections.
As you probably know, people are randomly selected for jury service. This means that most people turn up feeling pretty resentful; anxious about loss of earnings, childcare arrangements, being stuck on a long case, etc.
