Change management is a big issue for L&D professionals these days, and it was the subject of the second TJ round-table discussion.

The discussion, jointly hosted by TJ and leadership organisation Human Insight, was held at the Capital Hotel, in London, at the end of March. L&D professionals from the BBC, Axa Sun Life, Lloyds TSB, the Royal Mail, the Department for Work and Pensions and BT joined two representatives of Human Insight, and round-table chairman Dr Peter Honey to address the following questions:

  • How do you keep an organisation performing successfully through complex change?
  • How do some companies re-invent themselves to outperform their competitors?
  • What is it about their values and leadership style that sets them apart?
  • Why are the organisations experiencing great success the most vulnerable to failure?
  • What is the extent to which people in organisations are prepared to change and what are the consequences for their leadership?
