Learning and Development. These two words are very close to my heart. Even closer than Away and Day. Without learning there is no development. Without development there is no learning. I yearn to learn. Yes, even someone at my level in the heady world of L&D has some things to learn! There’s plenty of talk these days about the Learning Organisation. Maybe a little too much, some would say. Perhaps the priority should be about being an Earning Organisation. A difference of but one letter, yet an organisation that’s not earning is one that may not be able to do much learning pretty soon … Other than how to dole out the P45s.
