The industry-focused courses allow users to study at their own pace, and as well as specific techniques, such as lead-free soldering, introduce recent pieces of legislation, including RoHS (Restriction of use of certain Hazardous Substances) and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Electronics Yorkshire has recently updated its website and a virtual tour is available featuring Harry Gration of BBC Look North. Speaking about the site, Andy Lee, network manager said it would mean electronics staff could 'access online training quickly and easily, giving them more opportunities to learn about their industry'.
