Unless you’ve been hanging around with Buzz Lightyear in the Gamma Quadrant for the past decade or two, you won’t have missed out on the fact that, here on planet Earth, new technologies are everywhere.
Of all these gadgets and gizmos, none seem to be more prevalent than mobile communication devices. My laptop computer will happily connect to the Internet without the need for wires and cables, my mobile phone magically transfers photos and files through the wonder of Bluetooth, and an increasing number of my friends and colleagues eagerly take out a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to enter my personal details.
