Jay Cross, a leading advocate of learning technology, was one of the first people in the US to really appreciate the potential of the Internet in the world of training and development. In fact, so pivotal has Cross been to this emerging training sector, that he is widely credited with having actually invented the phrases ‘e-learning’ and ‘workflow learning’ in 1998, when e-learning was still in its infancy.
