North Lincolnshire Council’s Public Sector Housing Service covers 328 square miles, stretching from the south bank of the Humber estuary in the north and east, to the borders of South Yorkshire and Nottingham in the west and southwest.

It is responsible for operating landlord services for the 10,150 council-owned properties and 270 leaseholders in the region. In 2001 and 2003 the Housing Inspectorate looked at its services and concluded that customer service fell well below the expected level.
