Recently I have been writing my memoirs (too grand a word and don’t worry, they are for my grandchildren not for you!). As I have reminisced, I have been struck by the number of things, many of them turning out to be highly significant, that have started out as coincidences, chance meetings, accidents. Perhaps I am a poor role model but there is little evidence of planning and deliberate intent.
In fact, I have decided to call my memoirs One Thing Just Led to Another to emphasise the way I have undeservedly lurched from one opportunity to another.
And now another apparently insignificant thing has unexpectedly blossomed.
