While thousands of corporate trainers and L&D professionals hit the employment ads in search of their next pay-check, after being cut from the corporate payroll, workers across the US who are holding the fort – and a job for now – are left to wonder how and where they can continue to improve their skills and not lag behind in their professional development.
From the US government to community colleges to online courses, employees who are adapting to a bare-bones L&D culture at work look to both novel and traditional ways of learning in order to keep up with the increased competition they are facing from both newly graduating, as well as back-in-the-market, peers.
