Organisations around the world “can and must do better” when it comes to talent management.
Senior leaders are talking the talk – most of them say talent management is their top priority – but few are walking the walk and taking action to ensure their organisations effectively identify and develop potential leaders. And with a possible recession looming, attracting, retaining and developing the people that will enable organisations to remain successful is vitally important.
That was the message to delegates at a one-day conference on talent management held by the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development in London last month.
