UK managers who refute the claim that it will be China setting the management agenda for the rest of the world were given the loudest of wake-up calls by the 2,008 Fou drummers who kicked off the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony last month.
What followed was a flawless spectacle, which combined high-tech wizardry and graceful artistry in equal parts. It served as a magnificent public demonstration to the rest of the world of what the country is capable of doing.
