Surely all leadership is positive, I hear you say. And yet, listening to people (followers), they often don’t have much positive to say about the leadership in their organisation. Why, given the enormous focus on leadership during the last 10 years (at least) and the effort put into developing leaders, is there still a gap? Even those organisations that are excellent at developing future leaders find it hard to identify or recruit enough people with the desired potential. Maybe they are looking in the wrong place or for the wrong things.
