There’s a chill wind blowing through the refrigeration industry at the moment.
The introduction of environmentally friendly legislation over the last decade – the Montreal Protocol, the Kyoto Protocol, EU regulation 2037/2000 on substances that deplete the ozone layer and the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (which compel users of installed pressure systems to have them regularly checked and comply with a number of other safety requirements) – has combined with a shortage of skilled engineers to cause major upheaval within the industry.
