The number of adults taking part in learning has fallen three per cent during the last year, according to a report published last month.
Counting the Cost, the annual Adult Learners’ Week survey published by the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE), reveals that the proportion of adults learning now or within the last three years has fallen from 41 per cent in 2007 to 38 per cent in 2008.
