Three years ago, after 18 years of working in a general learning and development role, I took the opportunity to move into change management. At the start of 2000, my employer, the Midlands Co-operative Society, was facing stiff competition, and a recent merger had made the organisation increasingly inwardly focused while doing little to improve our financial performance
