Most coaches will have reflected on themselves as part of their development journey towards becoming a professional coach. In fact, being a reflective practitioner is part of the accreditation scheme for leading coaching bodies like the Association for Coaching (AC), as well as forming part of both good coaching training and coaching supervision (Passmore, 2006). Psychometrics can form part of this journey of reflection and can help coaches to understand themselves more deeply.
This article reviews three types of psychometric questionnaire that the coach can usefully use as part of this reflection journey.
