A merger or acquisition (M&A) is a major event in the life of any organisation, stretching the capabilities of its leadership to the full.

By the time the announcement is made, senior leaders will have already spent many hours with legal and finance teams in partner selection, ensuring portfolio fit, agreeing a price, negotiating a contract, due diligence, forming a 100 day plan and, of course, securing either a future role for themselves or a profitable exit package.
