The successful fusion of two different organisations is dependant on far more than maximis ing market share, cost savings and efficiencies. The smooth integration of both companies and, most importantly, their employees is vital to any successful merger. Globalisation and the trend towards international mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures now mean that organisations not only have to deal with the merging of different corporate cultures, but also that of two or more national cultures.
