In these days of instant communication, the global marketplace and ever-increasing customer demands, we are all required to be flexible, adaptable, responsible and accountable. Organisations are more complex, careers are typically in several, rather than just one or two, organisations, and we are much more able to change our career focus. We work in flatter organisations and the implications of decisions are more far-reaching than was once the case.
