Description:
- Research, plan, prepare and deliver measurable training programmes in different formats (courses, projects, self study) to enable managers to develop to meet higher competency levels.
- Manage in conjunction with the area manager the management induction process.
- Identify, liaise with and involve internal support department (C&C, HR, finance, H&S) and external support suppliers that would be of benefit to management development in special cases.
- Support area managers and managers in the appraisal system, coaching and assisting to gain positive development for all.
- Plan, Prepare and deliver management briefing sessions at area meetings to stimulate and challenge management thinking and ability
- Assist in the running of the training department/centre.
- Assist managers and area managers identify, recruit and place assistant managers and trainees, and conduct development training to ensure candidates ready to fill up-coming management vacancies along the succession plan.
- Maintain updated records of management training.
- Work with retail trainer to identify potential assistant management candidates.
- Any other duties as identified which would benefit and project the company’s employment image, the development of management and working practices.
