TJ takes L&D2020 research to Berlin

TJ events director Debbie Carter is speaking at Online Educa Berlin, the largest global e-learning conference for the corporate, education and public service sectors.
As a coach, writer and director of research at TJ she initiated the L&D 2020 project to explore the future of workplace learning and provide L&D specialists with insight into what will be required from their skill set in the future.
As part of her presentation Carter will explore some of L&D 2020's findings so far and focus on the issues facing the 21st century practitioner using case studies of new practice as examples.
She will also explore the problems and opportunities the new T-shaped model of employees, which is those who have a broad understanding of the whole business (the top of the T) and an in-depth knowledge in their specialism (the upright of the T), presents and challenge the audience to think afresh about their role in the workplace.
Carter, who is a member of the Association for Coaching and the European Coaching and Mentoring Council, says that for those willing to adapt to the changes the future opportunities in L&D are very exciting.
