The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) and Learning and Skills Council (LSC) have joined forces to identify businesses which have a culture of developing their staff to enter this year’s award ‘Performance Through People’.
‘Performance Through People’ is part of the 2007 Chamber Awards scheme. Now in its fourth year, the Chamber Awards 2007 recognise outstanding business achievement within the UK business community.
The award will be presented to a company that demonstrates excellence in its approach to workforce development. Entrants will be asked to demonstrate why workforce development training is important to the organisation, how training needs and skills requirements are assessed, and the direct benefit gained by both individuals and the organisation.
There will be both a regional and national judging process and the overall national winner will be announced along with the other category winners at the Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony on 29th November 2007 at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Entry forms and judging criteria can be obtained by visiting www.chamberawards.co.uk. All entry forms must be completed and submitted electronically. The closing date for all entries is 25th June 2007.
The awards are open to all businesses.
