In response to the government’s commitment to achieve equality for all disabled people by 2025 following the findings of the ODI 2005 consultation, the ODI consultation is seeking to find out what disability would look like and how to measure progress.
The new consultation looks at early years, transition to adulthood, employment and independent living. It is recognised that in order to ensure equality, changes will need to be made to government strategy and this consultation will play a significant role in identifying the most important issues.
The consultation paper is available in a number or formats. There are also consultantion workshops and events taking place around the country.
Further information is available at the ODI website at http://www.officefordisability.gov.uk/consultations/
