Steven Hill has joined Learning Light as its Head of Research Services, with responsibility for overseeing all of Learning Light's research activities and coordinating its research partnerships.
For over 16 years, Steven has been working in the field of modernised learning using technologies. He started building some of the first virtual learning environments linked to hospital Information Systems before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Training Manager and an e-learning specialist, and then moving to PA Consulting as a senior consultant in learning and development across the private and public sectors.
His experience over the years has brought him into contact with many organisations and content suppliers working on the major challenges to getting the best out of learning technologies in the workplace and education. Steven is also a Master Trainer and runs his own personal coaching business.
Steven said: "I'm delighted to be joining Learning Light and to be part of the important role it plays in bringing buyers, suppliers, academia and researchers closer together in this exciting industry.
"The growing maturity of technologies, the integration of tools that support people management, performance and learning, and continual organisational change, place great importance on the availability of relevant research, market data, best practice and trends - right across the learning technologies supply chain. I am looking forward to evolving Learning Light's Research Services in response to the needs of its members and partners."
Mark Pittaway, CEO of Learning Light, commented: "Steven's solid experience in consulting at a high level will move forward Learning Light's plans to develop high-quality research and allied services to help UK PLC to meet its business goals through developing its human capital resources."
