Scotland based GTG Training has scooped the award for Learning Provider of the Year at the Scottish Modern Apprenticeship Awards.
The Modern Apprenticeship programme is managed by Skills Development Scotland, which was set up by the Scottish government to improve the country’s skills performance and helps companies part-fund and train apprentices.
The programmes at GTG Training offer individuals the chance to gain skills and qualifications in various different occupations ranging from mechanics to business administration.
Chief executive David Scott said, “Winning Learning Provider of the Year allows us to continue to tell companies that apprentices are good for business and investment in school leavers and partnership between employer and trainer is the key to success.”
He said the organisation had introduced regional support officers to ensure workplace practice integrated with the centre-based training.
As well as for the apprentices GTG Training also provides on-going training programmes for its tutors, mentors and the regional support officers.
“I would like to thank each and every member of staff at GTG for the individual and combined efforts which continue to keep GTG Training at the top of the league tables,” Scott concluded.
