Learning and Development News - Charity recognized for its outstanding people development

ETEC Development Trust, a Sunderland-based charity, has been recognized for its commitment to training and development.

ETEC gained the Investors in People (IIP) Gold Standard following a series of interviews by assessors with staff and managers that highlighted its strong L&D culture.

Julie Dyos, ETEC’s operations director, said: “I am overjoyed that ETEC Development Trust has achieved the Gold Standard. Potentially, the charity is the first organisation in Sunderland to have gained this standard.

“It shows the investment and commitment, which ETEC has made to developing its staff over the years, and how this commitment has become firmly embedded throughout the organisation.”

IIP is a flexible standard that aims to help organisations transform their business performance through a framework outlining what needs to achieved, but without prescribing how.

The IIP Gold Standard is the highest award of its kind and less than 500 organisations across the UK have achieved it.

ETEC Development Trust was established in 1991 and provides a wide range of training, development and support services to people across the North East.
