Learning and Development News - L&D consultancy honoured for being on the international right track

A West Midlands L&D consultancy has been honoured for exporting its expertise internationally.

Righttrack Consultancy was runner-up in the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Passport Exporter of the Year category at the 2009 West Midlands International Trade Awards.

The award recognises a company’s exporting achievement following their participation in the UKTI Passport to Export programme, a government-run scheme to help organisations develop their international business.

Kasmin Cooney, Righttrack’s managing director, said: “The team and I are incredibly proud to have our export activities recognised. We have worked incredibly hard to build our international presence over the last nine years.”

She said exporting was a serious part of Righttrack’s long-term strategy and the company had a tailored approach to international business that included undertaking dedicated marketing trips abroad and running an international website, which had been praised by clients.

“Two thousand and nine looks set to be our best year yet and our international markets have played a key role in achieving this. We are really excited to see what happens for the rest of 2009 and 2010; hopefully more new markets and awards are to follow,” she added.

Since 2007 Righttrack has been building its international client base, notably in the Gulf region. The company says the Passport to Export programme helped it develop a range of seminars for staff on exporting and Arabic language sessions.

Righttrack, which works with clients including Mercedes Benz and Gucci, has seen export sales triple in 2008 compared to 2007. It provides a broad spectrum of ready-to-run and bespoke training, sales solutions, management qualifications, organisational development and coaching.
