To mark this year’s Learning at Work Day, the theme of which is promoting areas of sustainability in the workplace such as learning skills for life, The British Red Cross is running a nationwide series of free courses teaching the basics of first aid.
Employees who learn first aid not only fulfil their organisations’ health and safety requirements, they learn important skills that could help them save a life at work or in the community.
Red Cross research reveals that people who have learned first aid feel more confident within themselves at work and in their daily lives knowing that they possess life saving skills.
Learning at Work Day will take place on 22nd May 2008. It is run by the charity The Campaign for Learning.
