A research project funded by capability management software firm, InfoBasis, will look at current state talent management practices in the UK with the aim of drawing up a set of good practice guidelines.
Interviews with small, medium and large organisations across a number of sectors will be used to find out how organisations use talent management to engage and develop their employees so that they can be deployed by the organisation to make the best of their potential.
Ashley Wheaton, InfoBasis CEO, said: "There's a great deal of interest in talent management right now, but very little agreement about what it is, or how to do it well. This research will go some way to answer those questions."
A final report will be published by InfoBasis in September.
