A proactive approach to training by Health and Environment Manager Ray Harwood, with the support of its directors, means Essex Electrical Group plc (EEG) is fully equipped to meet any challenges thrown up by the portfolio of major national retail companies and construction contractors that makes up its customer base.
Work carried out by EEG meets internationally recognised standards of quality management thanks to its comprehensive employee training programme which includes ongoing health, safety and compliance training and training in industry qualifications.
Additionally, employees are supported as they work towards higher level qualifications such as diplomas and degrees and 12 apprentices are employed by EEG specialising in electrical or mechanical services engineering.
All this means that in as well as projected turnover of £50 million this year, EEG has no problem at all when it comes to recruitment, and employee retention levels are high.
The organisation’s training programme is supported by SummitSkills, the Sector Skills Council for the building services engineering sector.
