Training Journal Conference and Awards

The TJ Conference & Awards

The TJ Awards for Learning and Development is your opportunity to receive recognition for the exceptional work you do everyday to improve your people's performance and to ensure that their talent makes a difference to your organisation's effectiveness.

Awards are an excellent way of motivating and rewarding your employees. They underscore your pride in their achievement, and they provide a talking point with customers and suppliers. They paint you, and the winner in a good light, and they show you care. A great place to work is one in which all employees have pride in what they do. Great companies are communities, where the people take pride in their job, their team and their organisation.

The awards are an opportunity to benchmark your training and development against real-world case studies. Behind every successful TJ Award entry there is a story to tell about investment in people and the benefits it brings.

This year's winners came from a broad spectrum of organisations and included: talent and succession management in the financial services, a bespoke e-learning programme for customer service staff in the insurance industry, coaching leaders and change management in the local government.

Applications for the 2008 awards are now closed and will open again in September and will cover the same categories and criteria as this year. You can find out more about the award categories and judging criteria on our page about the awards.

The awards ceremony will be held in London in June 2008, following the Annual TJ Conference, the winners will also feature in a special awards supplement that will accompany the August issue of TJ. You may wish to read the editor's overview of the 2007 awards.
