How to apply

The TJ Awards are assessed by an independent panel of judges coordinated by TJ editor Debbie Carter. To find out more about the judging panel please click here.

Your application should be submitted by email to awards@trainingjournal.com as a MS Word document or a PDF file attachment no later than Monday 8th March 2010.

The TJ Peer Award is assessed at the informatology 2010 conference and subsequently online. Apply as soon as you can via the standard Training Journal entry form, accompanied by online application direct to informatology at http://www.informatology.com/peer-award.htm

There will be thirteen awards presented in 2010; twelve category awards plus TJ's Special Achievement Award for the best overall entry.

There is no fee for entering but if you'd like a judges' report on your application there is an advanced fee of £95 plus VAT.

For those entering the TJ Peer Award for Innovation a fee may apply to attend the informatology conference as a speaker.

The short listed finalists will be announced in the June 2010 issue of TJ and will be on the TJ website from mid-May. The awards ceremony will be held in London in September 2010, following the Annual TJ Conference. The winners will also feature in a special awards supplement that will accompany the November 2010 edition of TJ.

The shortlist for the TJ Peer Award will be announced in the informatology conference programme published a fortnight before the event which takes place between 28th – 30th April 2010.

You are requested to structure your submission in a way that covers the sections below. Sections (1,500 words maximum)

What was the business challenge/problem (150 words)

What were the business objectives, desired outcomes, or business problem that training sought to solve? (150 words)

Please outline any TNA or research process and the key findings (150 words)

What were the learning objectives and key deliverables? (150 words)

Summarise the exceptional elements within the learning experience you designed (150 words)

Please list the dates of the key project milestones (50 words)

What practices did you employ to ensure implementation went as planned, on budget and within deadline? (100 words)

To what extent were the learning objectives met? (100 words)

To what extent were the business objectives met, or desired outcome achieved, or problem solved? (200 words)

What made this programme so innovative (for its sector/region/size/context)? (150 words)

What could other organisations learn from this programme? (100 words)
